Super Color Digital currently has a career opportunity for a Color Specialist/Graphics Manager in their Las Vegas, NV facility. This position is in a fast paced environment that requires over time into the evenings and weekend work.

Employees who work in the Digital/Graphics Department are responsible for assessing the digital files submitted by the client, applying color management profiles and doing color mathing, verifying the files are properly formatted and acceptable for production. Additionally, the technician will set the files up for printing, cutting, finishing and will perform color correction, color matching, color profiling and retouching tasks. THIS IS NOT A DESIGN POSITION.

Job Duties:

A* Apply color management profiles for color matching. Adjust color within the files to match PMS call outs and supplied match prints.

A* Set up files for production based on order specifications for size, position, printing method and finishing.

A* Double check other technicians work.

A* Perform file touch up tasks when required.

A* Continually look for ways to improve files, gang up artwork for efficient production, generate the best color possible, and reduce cycle time and errors.

A* Have a keen sense of urgency and be aware of deadlines and due dates.

A* Communicate effectively with sales and customer service regarding direction on file set up for production.

A* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A* BA or BS 4 year Degree in Graphic Arts is highly desired.

A* Minimum of 4 years experience in applying color managment profiles and conducting color matching.

A* Above average proficiency in Illustrator, In Design, Photoshop. Experience in working with DXF files is a plus. Must be MAC competent.

A* Must be able to see color very well and be exceptional at color matching and using color profiles.

A* Highly organized and be able to pay close attention to detail.

A* Experience is setting up files for Vutek printers, various inkjet printers, Durst Lambdas, Laser cutters, CNC Routers, Plotters etc. is required.

A* Able to use color matching software and have experience with Colorburst, Cheetah and Wasatch RIP's.
