Creative advertising agency is looking for a freelance Footage Researcher. Reporting into the Head of Art Production, the Footage Researcher will play a key role as a dedicated resource for finding and maintaining footage content. This role is perfect for someone with knowledge of film trends, a keen eye for film, and excellent organization skills.

The ideal candidate is passionate about all things motion and is familiar with a wide array of directors, footage resources, and research techniques. The footage researcher should have excellent communication skills, great follow through, and be willing to spend each day going through footage searches.

Responsibilities:

Concept, research and secure the best footage (from stock sites, video content sites & blogs).

Assist creative department in tracking down the best videos for their specific spots, and search for videos to archive between spots.

Work closely with Business Affairs to ensure footage is licensed and to obtain usage rights.

Work quickly on multiple assignments under tight deadlines and roll with last-minute changes.

Be able to determine and evaluate quality and reproduction potential of footage.

Generate a large and varied network of vendors and footage sources, including stock, directors, Apple's library, etc.

Ability to understand our aesthetic and the nuances of what we're looking for in each project.

Requirements:

o Bachelor's degree required.

o 5 - 7 years of related work experience -- with a background in footage research, fine arts, graphic design or broadcast production.

o Strong interest in the art and film world and culture.

o Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, efficient and focused.

o Ability to handle complex instructions with care and follow-through.

o Capable of working under pressure and thinking proactively, while consistently producing accurate results.

o Strong interpersonal and written communications skills.
