MLB.com is looking to immediately fill the position of Graphics Assistant. This is a part-time position based in New York City.
Duties:
Motion design assisting including rotoscoping, color correction & 3D work
Digital asset management
Project preparation
Compile and edit footage for use in promotions
Maintain production schedule
Qualifications:
BA degree in Motion Graphics or Graphic Design is required
Minimum of one year's experience in creating motion graphics, preferably for sports/entertainment/television industry
Advanced proficiency Illustrator, Photoshop & After Effects on a Mac Platform and a strong understanding of web technology
Highly organized, flexibility with changes and ability to re-prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, ever-changing creative environment
Ability to think creatively to resolve technical challenges and limitations
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Excellent verbal, written and visual communication and interpersonal skills and ability to follow through on projects, from inception to completion, with a high degree of communication
Some experience designing or operating a Chyron Duet is a plus
Strong knowledge of sports is preferred (especially baseball)
