The Information Manager will work directly with the Program Coordinator of The Episcopal Church of Good Shepherd and will provide communications, graphic, and web support to the entire Program and Administrative Staff.

In addition to the work the Information Manager will complete at Good Shepherd, he/she will also work with two additional parishes in the surrounding area, as part of a diocesan funded grant project. The IM will work on media related projects remotely for these two parishes as he/she explores their needs by focusing primarily on Social Media, website/blog development, and other communication outlets.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES TO GOOD SHEPHERD:

Maintain current GS Website (www.gsaustin.org)

Explore and research options for development of an improved GS website

Good Shepherd re-branding (Print & Digital)

Maintain GS's Social Media & explore the opportunities and limitations of Social Media within the church in general

Design and distribute all print materials as needed (Invitations, Pamphlets, Brochures, Stewardship Booklets, Capital Campaign materials)

Research additional communication outlets within the community

Assist in leading the Communications Task Force comprised of both staff members and parishioners

Manage weekly e-blasts

Keep Bulletin Boards updated, including implementation of "Today at Good Shepherd" board

Improve Signage around Campus

QUALIFICATIONS:

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop/etc.)

Blog capabilities (wordpress/blogger/etc.)

Social Media Expertise

Print/Web Design

Microsoft Office Suite

HTML/Java knowledge preferable

Bachelor's Degree Required
