ABOUT THE POSITION:

Reporting to Web Services Manager, the Junior Web Programmer will be an important part of the Deployment Services team. Granicus offers an innovative and dynamic environment where one can grow their skills through designing and building web pages and use regular expressions to build document templates and text parsers. We are seeking a candidate who will also demonstrate willingness to embrace responsibility and do whatever it takes to mature his or her skills. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to participate in the design and development process as it is applied to a broad range of situations. The ideal candidate will also perform initial document assessments and help build a library of code examples for training.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop user-facing front-end web page customizations for an enterprise web application

Perform document assessments for clients and initiate template creation process using HTML, regular expressions, and SMARTY code.

Create documentation

Create and validate specific templates for clients.

Build coding library for use in training, default/standardized templates, and Solutions.

Learn and lead implementation of a Word Integration solution with our software.

Participate in quality assurance software testing and reviews

Critically analyze processes and procedures and suggest ways to streamline or improve upon them

Explore new software technology or methodologies that can assist Granicus in delivering a higher quality product or service

Education &Experience

BA/BS or equivalent

2 years

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 2 years professional experience

Strong, demonstrated skill in the languages used for web design

Equally comfortable leading as well as following in team efforts

Innovative and motivated response to any challenge.

Incredible attention to detail and exactness

Understanding of automation and business efficiency projects

The right applicant will possess technical skills or understanding in several of the following areas:

HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and / or Smarty, MS Expression Blend

Graphic design applications (Photoshop, ImageReady, etc.)

1 year Regular Expression Experience (not Required, but a plus)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with clients on delivering desired solutions.

DETAILS:

Working conditions: At a computer 95% of the time; Travel required: 5%

Physical Demands: Must be able to fulfill essential job functions
