A well-established, bimonthly regional magazine has a permanent part-time freelance position available for an experienced magazine Art Director/graphic designer residing in Silicon Valley/Santa Clara County. If you are an upbeat, dependable, highly organized individual with good communication skills, can work efficiently under deadlines, have a flexible schedule and a fully equipped office (work is done off-site) please respond.
Responsibilities include creative direction, concepts, design and production of covers and features, art directing photo shoots and interacting with editorial production and advertising/management.
5+ years magazine experience is required. Must have expert knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and prepress preparation.

Note: All qualified applicants will be required to design and produce a sample feature layout to prepress ready stage (using supplied text and images) for creativity, style and capability purposes as well as two ad samples.
