SUMMARY OF MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

To work as a member of the senior management staff to create and implement communication and marketing plans for Rosewood including sales, market analysis and development, and public relations coordination

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop and implement strategic marketing and advertising plan across all media outlets: radio, TV, cable, satellite, internet, and print

2. Work with the webmaster to oversee web content and development of web site

3. Improve effectiveness of Google and reduce costs

4. Assist satellite offices in marketing strategies

5. Lead and supervise referent relations between Outreach and Clinical staff

6. Lead and coordinate the writing editing and design of all Rosewood communications materials including quarterly newsletters, outreach materials, e-newsletters, published reports and printed collateral materials promotional items

7. Supervise department staff and contracted agencies, PR and advertising. Is responsible for the associated duties of running the department (annual reviews, hiring, Joint Commission, HIPAA, etc.)

8. Maintains a weekly activity log for self and marketing reps

9. Regularly coordinates the development and management of the marketing program and discusses marketing related issues with the Executive Director

10. Maintains a working knowledge of the facilities' administrative operations and clinical program and attends executive committee meetings as required

11. Develops and maintains an organized database of current and potential referral sources as well as an alumni database

12. Redevelop alumni department and marketing strategies for alumni

13. Develops new client referral base

14. Provides marketing support as needed for corporate events and initiatives

15. Develop professional weekend programs

16. Assist with celebrity relationships and spokespeople for Rosewood

17. Develops annual budget in the third quarter of each year

18. Participates as a team player in the Rosewood staff milieu

19. Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES:

1. Knowledge in the field of Public Relations, use of press releases, media kits, media communications

2. Knowledge of advertising in the areas of radio, TV, cable, satellite, internet, consumer and professional print mediums

3. Leadership Competencies in Management: Demonstrates critical thinking ability, effective communication skills and ability strategize and to think outside the box. Fosters relationship building and approaches change as an opportunity for growth and development in self and others. Support a team environment and encourage teamwork and commitment to the Rosewood Center mission.

4. Ensures that Rosewood is properly represented to promote a positive image. Displays high standards of ethical conduct both at the facilities and within the scope of the position. Oversees and participates in the selection, development and motivation of a qualified staff to ensure attainment of Rosewood marketing objectives and provide for managerial and professional continuity dedicated to the growth of the marketing department. Ensures that the Executive Director and the executive team are properly informed concerning the operations of the department

5. Good written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in computer software programs in graphic design, desktop publishing, web design, and printing preparation.

6. Ability to maintain home office and office technology without on-site technical support

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in business/marketing

2. 10 years of experience in public relations, marketing, advertising or media relations preferably in a addictions treatment center

3. Eating disorders and substance abuse knowledge

4. 3 years experience with multi-million marketing budgets preferred

5. Management experience, preferably 3 years or more managerial experience of at least 4 full-time staff members
