The National Restaurant Association is seeking a dynamic Production Manager. The Production Manager is responsible for managing the internal and external workflow of all projects. Consults with and advises Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and NRAEF on project planning, execution, and delivery in the most timely and cost effective manner possible. Works with outside resources. The Production Manager must have extensive knowledge of design and print production processes. This position is located in Chicago.

Principle Duties:

Works as part of Products and Services Operations team to accomplish Association goals.

Assists PMO Manager to accomplish departmental goals.

Supports all internal team members and departments following the Association mission and values while promoting Association culture.

Initiates & assign production projects, consulting with and advising Product Development, Marketing, Sales, and Inventory

Manages projects from concept through completion of printed/produced piece(s), including document and version control and asset archiving.

Manages external print and production resources and suppliers, maintaining quality standards.

Manages work of the Production Artist

Manages workflow of Production Services Department

Keeps Job Status Log up-to-date.

Proofreads all projects in relation to standards before being produced

Discusses with teammates and clients project requirements--timetables, nature of job, design techniques, production methods.

Confirms priorities with the PMO manager and monitors workload.

Reviews all copy and design to ensure that standards are being maintained, contemporary design styles are employed, and effective/economical production methods are being employed.

Intercedes, where necessary, in meetings with clients where communication and direction must be clarified.

Meets with project department heads for status update meetings.

Secures print estimates/press checks when needed

Directs bi-weekly production meetings

Essential Training/Certifications:

Undergraduate degree in Business/Marketing or Graphic Design preferred.

3 to 5 years of experience in production management

Training in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat software
