Our lab studies how human genome variation influences molecular phenotypes in cells on its way to influencing disease risk in populations. We are particularly interested in understanding how genome variation influences transcription and physiology in neurons and the brain. We are seeking an experienced Researcher for our team. This person will: 1.Design, initiate and conduct experiments to meet research goals. 2. Develop new protocols to accelerate the completion of research aims. 3. Formulate research methods and suggest options to study difficult research data. 4. Develop experimental resources for the laboratory. 5. Train others on research methodology and the tools and approaches used to analyze the data. 6. Present research findings at lab and departmental meetings. 7. Disseminate project results through publications, case studies, and presentations. 8. Analyze data and prepare graphic displays of data as part of data analysis. 9. Develop, maintain and improve laboratory's technical knowledge base. 10. Perform other related laboratory tasks as required. The specific focus of each experiment and the type of techniques employed may vary in accordance with shifts in team goals.
