Northwest Environmental Business Council (NEBC) is seeking an experienced sales person to solicit sponsors, exhibitors, and organizational partners for its educational conferences and other events. The job will include marketing and/or other roles depending on what you offer.

NEBC is a 16-year-old regional trade association representing service and technology companies in the environmental and energy industry. This is a newly structured position necessitated by the growth in our conference and event activities. See: www.nebc.org

Duties

The core of this job is an inside sales position that covers a range of situations, from cold calling based on self-generated leads, to taking over long-term relationships. You will manage the relationships after the sale. The ability to take on marketing and communications tasks is a strong plus.

You will be a member of small office staff and must be able to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team. You must have a flexible attitude and be willing to pitch in and take on whatever tasks need to be done, while still managing priorities.

Requirements

- Experience in an outbound telephone sales environment

- Must truly enjoy selling

- Exceptional communications skills

- Adept at building relationships

- Strong attention to detail

- Comfortable managing multiple concurrent priorities

- Familiar with standard office software

- Eager to learn, grow, and contribute to our organization's mission

Bonus Points

- Marketing and/or advertising experience

- Graphic design skills

- Experience in our industry sectors

- Web and social media skills
