Seattle, WA

Confidential

We are a small software company based in downtown Seattle that creates Reporting and Business Intelligence software. Founded in 1996, our company is well established, and is in the midst of a major growth initiative.

We think we make some pretty cool software, but unfortunately not everyone that can use it knows about it. That's where you come in.

What is the job?

The Marketing Manager will report directly to the CEO and is responsible for execution of the company's strategy to bring its technology to new and existing markets. Our software is in use at hundreds of existing businesses and we are looking to grow that base by moving into new vertical markets.

The marketing manager will need to work with the executive team to bring awareness of our product's key advantages to these markets.

What are we looking for?

We are a small company. That means that the best candidate for this position will be able to handle a variety of different tasks. Here is a sampling of some of the responsibilities we know are going to be important:

Creating Content to use across different delivery methods

Since we are a small company, the more writing we can do in house the better.

Working with outside writers has been a challenge because of the delay in getting

content edited and updated. We need to move faster than that.

Improve email marketing campaigns

Design the best workflow for gaining attention in new and existing markets

There are good ways and bad ways to use email marketing. We want our email

marketing to be the good kind.

Reduce Sales Cycle Effort through the creation of sales support material including

Product Demonstration Videos

Industry Specific Websites

Key benefits and competitive positioning material

Improve Web Presence

A strong eye for website organization and visual feel

Ability to make small modifications personally and coordinate extended efforts by

external contractors

Engage with customers via Social Media

Develop and mature a presence in the appropriate social networking sites

Position ourselves well at conferences

Coordination with event staff and assuring the appropriate materials will be

available for the conference attendees.

Since we are a small tight-knight company, a lot of the detailed execution of this strategy will be your responsibility. A strong background in HTML, social media, email campaign managers, website design, and graphic design will be a plus.
