Talented Graphic Artist:

We need a graphic artist to design images for an expanding clothing company in Denver, Colorado. This is a full time, in-house position. At this time, we do not need freelance designers. Our business is to create great wearable garments and decorate them with screen print or embroidered designs. If you love art and trend setting clothing as much as we do, submit an application!

We are an established yet growing company with a very talented art staff. Professional level computer skills necessary. Great design skills required. Applicant must have the ability to render images and create designs for a wide variety of clients. Screen print and embroidery experience preferred. Compensation commensurate with experience and talent.

Expectations:

Express your design talents in a great team environment.

Create designs for screen print or embroidery decorated sportswear.

Collaborate with other artists to arrive at a marketable product.

Be responsible for managing art workload within a commercial system.

Respond positively to the needs of the client and refine design work accordingly.

Adhere to deadlines, be punctual and reliable.

Requirements:

1. Lets face it. It may not be fair for someone just starting out, but an artist needs some experience to fit into a professional environment. We would like to see a degree in some form of art discipline. (graphics, fine art, illustration) Sometimes an artist is too busy making art (and money) to get that degree, so professional work experience is accepted instead. The bottom line is that you will be a professional, talented artist with at least a couple years of work experience under your belt.

2. We need to see something to demonstrate that you can do the job. While we know there are 'fast learners' out there, at this level of designing, we don't have the time to train anyone. We expect to see a portfolio of professional work, whether in the graphics industry or screen print and embroidery fields. You should be able to dig in and get right to work from the very first day.

3. The person we are looking for is fearless when it comes to art. You will have great illustration abilities, and the ability to learn additional technical new processes relating to screen print or embroidery artwork.

4. You should be able to create anything you can think of in a computer graphics program. Your skills should include a professional mastery of CS Suite, (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) as well as a general understanding of computers.

5. Commercial ideas are not complete unless they are captured and translated into salable designs. We are looking for a person who is creative, with an understanding of current trends and able to take a concept to a final decorated garment.
