North Shore Animal League America is the largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization in the world. We are a non-profit organization and since 1944, the League's mission has been saving the lives of pets through adoption, rescue and advocacy initiatives.

We are currently seeking a Temporary Part-Time Graphic Designer/Digital Media Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented team player with the ability to interact with staff at all levels and work independently under minimal supervision. Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn quickly in various technical and creative environments, while delivering quality work by tight deadlines are key attributes of this individual.

This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 6 months.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Design monthly newspaper space ads (Newsday, NY Post, Daily News, etc.) in support of adoption events.

Shoot, edit and produce video in support of donation campaigns, mission related events, and adoptable animals.

Photograph animals in the shelter and special events around the campus.

Additional creative responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications Required:

Three or more years of Graphic Design/Digital Media production experience.

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

Knowledge of video platforms, compression

Proven skills of a videographer and photographer. HD experience is preferred.

Proficiency with Final Cut Pro software (video editing software).

Competence in HTML and Flash and online video content delivery.

The ability to work up to 20 hours per week.
