Responsibilities include but are not limited:

- Web design/management and multimedia development, including the design of software interfaces, public websites, and intranet sites;

- Maintain an Identity Standards Guide that aligns the usage of organization logo and graphic/message identity across all communication tools by adding discipline and structure to communication templates such as: business card templates, stationary templates, web page templates, presentation/briefing templates, exhibit tools, collateral (brochures) material, advertising items tools (coffee mug, conference gift items, etc.) and senior level policy point papers and white papers;

- Provide graphic design and conceptual illustration support for the publication of organization's documents and online applications;

- Provide art direction for communication products by conceptualizing, designing and producing graphic illustrations;

- Design a template for communication products that includes standards for page layout of all components of document production including text, graphics, charts, illustrations and captions;

- Ensure that all web design and products available for public use are in compliance with the required governmental and 508 compliance standards.

Degree/Job Requirements:

- Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in graphic arts or web design;

- At least five (5) years of direct experience in web design/web development for businesses;

- Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Freehand, and Fireworks;

- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JS, SQL, semantic coding, accessibility, and best practices (e.g., 508 compliancy standards, keeping code clean and accessible across browsers);

- Multimedia development using Flash;

- Familiarity with ColdFusion;

- 3D conceptual illustration and animation is a plus.

Other Requirements:

- The ideal candidate will be a team player with good verbal and written skills and the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical customers and employees;

- Analytical mindset and problem solving skills;

- Good organizational habits and with excellent attention to detail;

- Must be able to obtain a Government Public Trust Security Clearance.
