Classification: Web & Print Graphic Designer
Compensation: $35,000 - $45,000 per year

Graphic Designer I Summary
The Graphic Designer is responsible for the creation of original designs/graphic designs with a look toward marketability. The Graphic Designer will be aware of current design trends as they relate to particular fiction and non-fiction genres. Design discussions and critiques are ongoing and provide guidance to ensure high quality, superior designs.
Graphic Designer I Responsibilities
1. Will provide superior Print & Web Design /Graphic Design.
2. Participates in Special Design Projects.
3. Will keep current and apply working knowledge of industry-standard print, web and presentation software, including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator and Dreamweaver); Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; and Quark, working knowledge of Flash and html5.
4. Will maintain superior skill in graphic design, typography and color sense as well as knowledge of current design trends.
5. Demonstrated ability to consistently produce a high volume of quality work under pressure and with tight deadlines.
6. Will apply knowledge of all aspects of offset and digital prepress and print production processes and technology.
7. Will be expected to participate in the expansion of the company brand.
8. Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Professional demeanor and appearance are expected.
10. Will work cooperatively with other members of the production team.
11. Administrative Duties for project management as needed.

Requirements
Graphic Designer I
Graphic Designer I Requirements:
Knowledge:
Community College or University degree required. Preferably in Fine-Arts or Graphic Design.
Knowledge of all aspects of offset and digital prepress, web and print production processes and technology.
A current knowledge of new technologies and current trends is also required, as designer will be expected to participate in the expansion of the company brand.
Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
One to five years experience in an ad agency or design studio.
Working Conditions:
9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. core schedule with frequent flexibility for start and ending times. Additional hours and/or overtime depending on position and needs of the business may be required.
