PART-TIME POSITION:

(THIS IS NOT A JOB FOR SOMEONE GOING TO A TECHNICAL SCHOOL. APPLICANT MUST HAVE GRADUATED FROM AN ACCREDITED ARCHITECTURE OR INTERIOR DESIGN SCHOOL AND HAVE STRONG COMPUTER ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE)

We are looking for an architecture or interior design graduate for cad drafting and 3D MAX rendering. We have a small design firm that specializes in corporate, commercial, retail, restaurants, salons, and high end residential. You will be working directly with someone who has at least 23 years experience in the fields of architecture, interior design and construction. We have a very relaxed office environment in the Woodlands. however you will possibly be splitting your time between the Woodlands and another firm in the Galleria. The other Principal in my firm is from Mexico City, so bilingual is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

You must be proficient in AutoCAD and 3D Max.

HOURS:

Subject to work load. 5 days a week from at least 10-3 (No working hours after 5:00, unless working on deadline). You can take off for holidays, vacation, etc, as long as you schedule it in advance.

DUTIES AND BENEFITS:

You will be working on real projects putting together construction documents and 3D renderings. You will learn how commercial projects are designed from conception to completion. We will teach you how our AutoCAD drawing standards are set up but expect you to already have knowledge of this process. You will learn every aspect of an architectural/design project including site documentation, scheduling, accounting and possibly client interaction.

COMPENSATION:

We can only pay $10.00/hr. initially, however, we can give you valuable work experience that you would not receive from the larger firms and as the economy improves you will have the opportunity to earn a full time position with our firm.
