The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying, developing and engaging business relationships for the purpose of generating new client business within target industry. Must be willing to travel up to 60% of the time.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Generation (50%)Prospect for opportunities within focus multi-unit retail target vertical markets Identify opportunities/leads and qualify them based on fit with ideal client and qualification characteristics Develop contacts and solidify relationships with executive level and key decision makers of prospective clients Follow up on leads generated by others, continuing with the prospect in the business development cycle Develop account profiles and strategies with all necessary resources Attend prospect industry conferences and events

Business Development Cycle Management (50%)
Manage the full business development cycle with target and perspective multi-unit retail companies Manage sufficient pipeline of prospects in a business cycle simultaneously in order to meet and exceed personal revenue and profit objectives Develop proposals for potential new business, using company standards and customizing accordingly
KEY EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES AND CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

4 - year Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or equivalent knowledge gained from education and/or work experience3 - 5 years of proven sales experience in a professional services, consulting, agency, CPG and/or retail related industries Experience with strategic account selling principles for contracts over $250K, and/or Fortune 500 companies Experience in design, agency, architecture/engineering, construction and development services related businessFunctional Competencies/ Business Acumen Industry knowledge Knowledgeable and up-to-date about current and future policies, trends, technology, and information affect our business and organization Can create competitive and breakthrough strategies and plans Decision Quality Looks beyond the obvious and doesnt stop at the first answers Gets commitments and decisions Exercises good judgment
