The ideal candidate will administer CADD software and related services for a multi-discipline engineering and design group. Administers and directs CADD standardization.Supervises the development of 3D design models and integration of design files from all sources including subcontractors and vendors. Directly supervises and manages CADD staff in the development of working drawings. Assigns personnel to specific tasks and monitors performance to firm and industry codes, specifications and CADD standards. Has authority or recommendations for hiring, firing and promotion of staff. May also have CADD Coordinator responsibilities. Additional responsibilities include:* Coordinates all CADD related activities to meet project deadlines and budgets* Coordinates integration of mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, and I&C designs within the 3D
model* Coordinates 3D CAD model and piping stress analysis* Enforces and is responsible for all CADD drawings/graphics generated by staff* Provides quality assurance review* Determines and defines standards and methods of performance measurement of CADD usage on
projects* Supervises CADD staff (if applicable)* Resolves conflicting demand of users* Maintains CADD system and standards* Recommends hardware/software for CADD staff use* Provides design and drafting production support* Other duties as assignedRequirements:Qualified candidates will have an Associates Degree in engineering technology from an accredited community college or technical institution (or equivalent experience). A minimum of 9 years experience (or equivalent working knowledge experience). Must possess a high degree of CADD skills and proficiency in the administration and use of Bentleys MicroStation based software. Must have experience in the design of large industrial process plants using intelligent P&IDs and integrated 3D CAD models. Must have experience designing process piping and in the use of pipe stress analysis software. Effective oral and written communication skills are required. Ability to assist with client, customer, or official contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings. Effectively organize and present project and technical data at conferences, seminars and training.
