Growing San Diego firm is looking for Licensed Interior Designer for a full time position.
We are a planning, and design company serving clients in the public and private sector; specializing in Healthcare, Military/Student Housing, Academic Facilities, Administrative Offices, Space Planning and FF&E Procurement and Installation. The ideal candidate should well be versed in Interior Design, is meticulous in producing superior results, takes pride in their work, able to learn quickly, multi-task oriented, possess superior time management skills and is able to manage oversee a staff of 10-15 employees. A self-starter and can perform independently.
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Interior Design from a FIDER/CIDA Accredited School of Design.
NCIDQ Certification a must.
LEED Certification a plus.
Experienced Project Manager, with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
Able to multi-task and lead various teams of designers.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel Outlook, Power Point, Projects).
Proficient in Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator).
Proficient in AutoCAD and with Sketch up.
Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in Government space planning, facility move coordination, building management, facility turnover, FF& E.
Knowledge of Government specification & acquisitions.
Familiar with Government solicitation procedures.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Knowledge of Government & private submittal procedures.
Job Description:
Functioning as a team member/project lead on assigned projects, the successful
Candidate will:
Read and interpret construction documents, furniture/fixture & equipment specifications.
Project Management.
Develop detailed furniture/equipment installation drawings.
Manage and coordinate vendors and procurement requirements.
Prepare delivery schedules and necessary CAD drawings.
Work closely with Clients, DOD, General Contractors, Architects, and support staff.
Able to travel regularly to project sites, both within the U.S. and overseas.
