The Senior Interior Designer is directly responsible for the fit, finish and furniture selection of commercial interior projects as well as contributing to the brand standards, direction and innovation. This involves an immersion into the brand standards and history as well as active management of project libraries and vendor relationships.
This will be a highly talented, motivational, engaging hands-on position that possesses strong interior design abilities, business financial acumen and a proven successful track record in delivering high-end commercial interiors. This position reports directly to the VP of Design and must work well in a dynamic, fast paced, high growth environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
? Work with architectural and interior consultants to establish specifications and selections for all for interior elements. Including Finishes, FF&E, decorative lighting and d?cor.
? Track and manage scope, budget and schedule sign off procedures for the projects. These typically range from 20,000 ? 40,000 SF for projects and 1,000 ? 2,500 SF for Pre Sale offices.
? Seamless coordination of operational equipment into the drawing set. This includes but is not limited to kitchen equipment, gym equipment, IT requirements and spa equipment.
? Oversight and implementation of the interior and exterior signage packages.
? Direction on internal and external landscaping and hardscaping.
? Active interface, updates and communication of the Brand standards
? Manage material standards including costs per / SF, slip coefficients, durability and Green characteristics.
? Research materials and direct the selection and allocation of finishes to create aesthetic value in line with brand positioning.
? Oversight and management of FF&E and finish budgets
? Artwork selection
? Record keeping and post mortem documentation for club operations.
? Shared management of vendor relationships, product samples and material library.
? Check requests, P.O.?s, and expense reporting.
? Plan and conduct regular project meetings.
? Presentation boards and vignettes of concepts and design.
? Assist in the compilation of program charts.
? Embrace and improve upon Standard Operating Procedures for design process
? Assist VP of Design with inspiration images, copy and direction.
? Review shop drawings for millwork on multiple projects.
? Liaison with internal departments. Including but not limited to: Operations, Construction, Acquisitions, Finance and Creative (Graphics and Marketing)
? Identify opportunities for the use of new technology and materials.
? Execute various brand initiatives that may include graphic design and / or industrial design.
? Meet with the VP of Design weekly and prepare reports on progress of projects.
? Domestic travel is required.

? Minimum of 8-10 years successful track record in the oversight and direct involvement of highly designed commercial interior development.
? Able to develop, communicate and successfully implement a management strategy to execute projects.
? Strong financial, analytical and business acumen
? Highly developed aesthetic sense.
? Have the ability to inspire a team, set and communicate goals, measure accomplishments, hold a team accountable, provide feedback and delegate
? Intrinsic understanding of luxury brands, the discerning customer?s desire for refined ambience.
? Passionate about fitness
? Excellent time management and organizational skills
? Computer proficient. Fluent in ACAD, Illustrator and Photoshop. (Mac or PC)
? Must have a 4 year Bachelor?s degree in Interior Design, registration in the IIDA a plus
