We are a home staging & design firm looking for a "can-do", motivated, detail oriented and talented designer to head up our design studio/showroom. We are an established bay area staging & design company in search of an enthusiastic and detail oriented designer to join our team :) ! You will be working with clients in-studio helping them achieve a beautifully affordable & cohesive look for thier homes by recommending rugs, art, furniture, accent & more... Then taking care of the nuts/bolts of the studio so it runs smooth & efficient...

So "left & right brain" designer is required! Do you fit the bill??

Additional Personal traits required:

A) Sales oriented - enthusiastic sales oriented mentally / passion s

for design and motivated to advance by improving sales techniques and

marketing strategies.

B) Organized - Must demonstrate organizational skills with invoices,

spreadsheets, and showroom.

C) Inspiring - Must be able to motivate and inspire our valuable

interns and team members

D) Positive and happy demeanor - Must display a happy and confident

demeanor in front of all guests

E) Punctual - No excessive late issues for the studio or with client

appointments.

Duties include:

Client Generation

A) Marketing reach out, measuring results and scheduling monthly re-visits.

B) Networking outside the studio to build awareness

C) Event planning - Plan and host design events to build brand awareness

D) Repeat customer building - Track friend referral cards and send

gift cards & Thank you cards

Showroom Duties

A) Merchandising showroom floor - Keeping the studio fresh w/ in-stock

items assess weekly and quarterly.

B) Signage - Making sure signage is properly displayed on all items to

increase awareness and sales

C) Showroom maintenance

D) Inventory updates, ETA's and reserve list - Make sure spreadsheets

have accurate stock levels w/ our manufacturers, check for next ETA

and make sure all low inventory level items are being reserved.

E) Backroom - Monitor and identify backroom furnishings needs

F) Stock design library with updated pricelists, catalogs, fabric

swatches, wood samples etc.

G) Build and maintain inspiration boards

H) Plan for holiday's and decorate and promote accordingly

Customer Satisfaction

A) Making sure General Manager has been presented with any and all

customer service issues

B) Reaching out weekly to clients thanking them

C) Reach out to existing clients seasonally (book in calendar) to

book new appointments to educate on new collections

Reporting

A) Make sure all required reports are filled out in a timely manner

B) Make sure all interns are reporting status on all projects, if

issues arise GM must be alerted to immediately

C) make sure all data is entered into Salesforce for proper report

generation purposes

Training

A) Responsible for training and follow up of interns

Education:

Must have a degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture

Compensation:

Full Time - $15 per hour salary 40 hours per week to start *each quarter you will be assessed and will be offered a raise if you have hit your sales goals at least 75% of time and have demonstrated yourself as a pro-active team member. We value our team members and there is much room for growth in our firm for those that want to build their design careers... We also have travel opportunities as well.. New York Location / Trade Shows Nationally & Internationally
