High-End Residential Interior Designer (San Francisco)

We are a high-end residential interior design firm looking for an Interior Designer. The position will start out on contract, and could turn permanent if you fit well with the team.

You should be comfortable working directly with our Principal Designer, and you should also be comfortable performing project management, client relations and expediting in addition to design. You should be a VERY collaborative designer who gets along well others (No divas. We only want to hire nice people!). You will get increasing responsibility based on your skills, and on your fit with the firm.

You should be comfortable working with well educated, sophisticated, and Type-A clients. Your personal style, and written/oral communication skills, should be impeccable.

To apply, please have at least five years of residential interior design experience. Additional requirements include:

- Ability to conceptualize complete projects and to make sure that items don't fall through the cracks.

- Strong, proven knowledge of AutoCAD and construction documents. We do all our design work in AutoCAD, and are not large enough to have a CAD department available to you.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or equivalent experience.

- High level of efficiency, creativity, and attention to detail.

- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with architects, subcontractors, vendors and clients.

- Extensive knowledge of interior design from traditional to modern. Interest in the history of architectural design and historical furniture periods.

- Must be capable of writing correspondence with perfect English grammar and spelling.

- You must have a car and a valid driver's license.
