Position Title: Interior Designer

Wisnewski Blair & Associates (WBA), an Architecture/Engineering/Interior Design Firm in Alexandria, VA, is expanding its Interior Design Group and seeking experienced, energetic, Interior Design professionals with 3 to 5 years experience. These individuals must be able to exhibit strong design skills and experienced backgrounds in Commercial, Government, Hospitality, Residential and / or Retail Design.

Key Skills and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Involvement and ability to perform all phases of an interior design project from programming to construction administration.

* Assist Project Manager with efficiently and innovatively conceptualizing, developing, and finalizing all interior design aspects of projects within relevant time frames and budgets.

* Ability to participate in space planning / programming phases of projects and implement the data into final design concepts and space planning solutions.

* Ability to be team focused working closely with Project Manager on a variety of assigned tasks.

* Assist other multi-disciplined project teams.

* Use strong design development skills to develop designs of interior components including casework designs and detailing.

* Use exceptional graphic presentation skills to develop professional level graphic renderings, sketches, high quality presentation materials for own projects and for other project teams.

* Maintain expertise in product knowledge of interior finishes and furnishings.

* Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, the ability to multi-task, a team player mentality, an outgoing personality and a strong commitment to delivering world class service.

The ideal candidate will possess:

* Bachelor of Architecture or Bachelor of Interior Design

* 3 to 5 years experience

* Working toward becoming a licensed Interior Designer

* Knowledge of FF&E including but not limited to MEP, Voice-Data requirements, LEED qualification standards, familiarity with life safety, building, accessibility and other applicable codes and ordinances

* Proficient and working knowledge in AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office and Outlook. Knowledge of Revit a plus.

* Secret / Top Secret Clearance a must.

* U.S. Citizenship required.
