We are looking for an experienced Interior Designer Project Manager with responsibility for managing interior design for entire projects. Interior Project Managers typically have significant involvement in marketing, proposal development and emphasis in developing and maintaining client relationships. Incumbent works independently, coordinates with architectural project managers, and receives general direction from Studio Managers or Principals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)

Manages interior design projects; establishes project schedule, technical requirements, time, and hour budgets.

Selects project team members; directs and reviews the work of the project team, including other "sub-project" managers as necessary.

Engages in business development activities, develops client relationships, leads/coordinates proposal preparation, and makes presentations.

Negotiates contracts with clients; assists in the selection of consultants and negotiates fee and contract arrangements.

Manages project budget, schedule and scope of work; negotiates fee changes as necessary.

Reviews client billing and does Accounts Receivable follow-up as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Bachelor or Masters Degree in interior design, architecture, or related field is required.

NCIDQ desirable.

Requires ten years experience as an interior project designer, including experience on projects involving client and contractor interface.

Minimum one year of previous supervisory and personnel management required.

CADD proficiency desired; hand sketching ability preferred.

Advanced knowledge of finish materials and standards required.

Presentation skills desired.

Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and with strong attention to detail.

Ability to consistently meet deadlines, completing tasks as previously defined.

Ability to work with integrity, trust, and commitment, setting an example for others.
