Interior Designer / Sales Associate
BeyondBlue Interiors - a sophisticated, modern boutique in the heart of Raleighs North Hills that specializes in designer furnishings, lighting, rugs and accessories - currently has an opening for an experienced interior designer / sales associate comfortable helping clients within our showroom and in the clients home.
Combine your creative design talents with skills in sales to provide design solutions for our customers. Your tasks will include creating plans (SketchUp or AutoCAD preferred), recommending furniture styles, placement, color, fabric and finishes that will complement your clients home. Our perfect candidate works well with people to assess their needs and help them find the perfect solution for their home or business. You will also be responsible for placing and tracking orders, communicating with vendors, helping to coordinate deliveries, as well as showroom merchandising & helping to keep the space clean and presentable at all times.
Qualified candidates have some sales experience and a degree in design or interior design. Must have initiative, strong work ethic, multitasking skills and be computer literate - a basic understanding of PhotoShop is also a plus. This is a small store and we all pitch in!
Approximately 3 days (20-30 hours per week) will be spent in the showroom plus variable time spent at in-home consultations. Evenings and weekends are required.
