A high-end interior design firm specializing in Residential Design is looking for a Part time to Full-time Designer/Jr Designer who is detail-oriented, outgoing, EXPERIENCED, and has a professional personality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Assist in developing design concepts and presentations
-Prepare presentation boards and drawings
-Assist in researching products, obtaining and replacing samples
-Assist with product reselections as needed to meet design criteria
-Help build and maintain sample library
-Assist in office administrative duties as needed
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
-Successful candidates will possess excellent personal presentation
-Able to listen, interpret, disseminate and prioritize information
-Able to prepare basic reports, materials and use the appropriate mode of communication. (MS Office: Excel,Word, PowerPoint)
-Creative thinker and problem-solver
-Demonstrates accountability, responsibility and personal integrity
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask, position requires wearing multiple hats at times
-Knowledge of interior design industry
MANDITORY QUALIFICATIONS
This is an ideal opportunity for a recent college graduate
-4-year degree in Interior Design or Architecture REQUIRED
-Excellent hand drawing/ sketching skills REQUIRED
-Rendering skills REQUIRED
-Proficient in MS Office applications REQUIRED
-Proficient in CAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suites (Photoshop and/or Illustrator) REQUIRED
-Knowledge of Quickbooks a PLUS
-Knowledge of Keynote a PLUS
