Proving function and livability with great space plans, balancing scale and proportion, and using color, texture, and pattern to make a space flow - that's the language you speak and what makes you tick. But creating successful interior design is more than making a beautiful space, it's about speaking to a specific demographic, and creating spaces that engage and inspire those who experience them. You're the kind of person who has an intuitive knowledge of what makes a space feel 'right', and pair this with a working understanding of how demographic and regional influences affect an interior, allowing you to work in a wide range of styles and housing types. You love to travel, don't mind getting your hands dirty, know how to shop well on a tight budget, and believe that the work day ends when your tasks are done, not when the clock hits 5pm.

Our well-respected boutique interior design firm is known nationally for our ability to create impactful model home interiors that motivate and inspire potential home buyers. With over 25 years' experience at the top of our field, we are well respected by home builders and developers who want to set themselves apart from the rest with strict attention to detail and quality within a determined budget and time line. We have achieved success in this industry by consistently delivering highly impactful interiors which result in our clients meeting or exceeding their goals. We are driven to be the best, and work with energy and curiosity, always seeking to learn and grow. Inflexible know-it-alls who like to work alone and don't like wearing a few hats will NOT fit in here.

We're looking for someone who has always had a passion to design; model home experience is not strictly necessary, but a strong understanding of creating a look and feel based on persona types is required. We want someone who is happy to focus on the details, but is also able to keep the big picture in mind. Our successful candidate won't mind being number 2, but has the experience to manage people and multiple projects -- all while keeping on top of a million and one details. Our days are extremely fast paced, and we need a designer who can keep up from Day 1 without too much of a learning curve. The right candidate has strong AUTOCAD skills (read: does not need training), as well as an impeccable sense of style and design. This job post will involve a great deal of travel, often of a week at a time, so the candidate should enjoy traveling, and have a home situation that allows for time away. The successful candidate will also have the strong communication skills necessary for taking part in onsite project supervision as well as conducting and email status reports. The right person has a great sense of humor (you'll need it in this business), and will easily develop relationships with clients and team members.

We offer a competitive salary ($40,000-$55,000), health and dental insurance, and the opportunity to deliver excellent designs and enable the business to grow.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design and from 3 to 5 years of professional experience is required.
