Marketing Rep wanted for independent, residential Interior Designer. Must have experience and/or connections in the design industry or with potential clientele. Must have outstanding communication and follow-up skills, be enthusiastic, ambitious and optimistic, have professional and creative industry image and reliable transportation. Bilingual and knowledge of interior design industry a plus.

Demographics:

Beverly Hills, Studio City, Pasadena, Sherman Oaks, West Hollywood, Santa Monica, San Marino, Burbank, Malibu, etc. (Not too far from my home office in Glendale, ideally)

Household income over $200,000/year

Homeowners

Age range 30-60 (typically)

Also, networking with builders, real estate investors/agents and contractors is a possibility.

I have had my interior design business since 2004 and started with NO marketing or investment back when the economy was booming. It originated in San Diego but I had to relocate to LA back in 2009. My connections here are limited so I need some help. The industry is also depressed, however, there are still clients out there and rumor has it that things are improving. This is a straight commission opportunity but could be very lucrative for the right person with the right connections. I believe it is difficult for a creative person to sell themselves and their services as effectively as an outside rep can.

Compensation would be 20% of any income generated. I charge clients $150/hour or a flat-fee for larger projects. Hours are totally flexible (PT/FT) as you would be an independent contractor. Details are negotiable as this is a new position.
