Gem Surfaces has opened a new exclusive upscale stone gallery in the N. Scottsdale Airpark area, in the Scottsdale Design Center.

Gem Surfaces sells gemstone slabs (like granite and marble, but gemstone!)

Slabs can be cut into kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, sinks, walls, bars, floors and any custom application. Gem Surfaces product lines are niche for luxurious buyers requiring our potential candidates to have prior experience in exclusive goods.

We are seeking friendly truly high-end Interior Designers, (or other professionals within the trade) with a minimum 2 years commission-based brick and mortar and/or phone sales experience in the LUXURY DESIGN industry (i.e., must have experience in most of following fields: kitchen and/or bathroom design or remolding, flooring, tiles, countertops, walls, tabletops, furniture).

Candidate must possess strong computer skills (Full command of MS Office 2003-10, along with any CRM experience will be a huge plus). Applicant must have strong organizational skills. Applicant should have great professional networking skills.

Candidate should have cashier experience (including opening and closing), for our showroom. Applicant demeanor, speech and appearance must convoy an image of a professional high-end designer/retailer. Candidate must be available on weekends and Holidays as needed.

Job Duties include handling walk-in sales, answering the phone, and working with referrals.

Other duties include calling on potential clients through our CRM (ACT!), and bidding on potential jobs .

Candidate must be able to also handle non-sales duties such as cleaning store, pricing / labeling merchandise, packing product, and other responsibilities as requested by the store manager.

Product knowledge and training will be offered at beginning.

Candidates will be considered based on experience, work ethic, schedule flexibility, and honesty should be first listed.

ASID membership helpful.
