Wisnewski Blair & Associates (WBA), an Architecture/Interior Design Firm in Alexandria, VA, is expanding its Interior Design Group and seeking experienced, energetic, Senior Interior Design professionals. These individuals must have proven project management experience, strong design skills and experienced backgrounds in Commercial, Government, Hospitality, Residential and/or Retail Design.

Key Skills and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Involvement in all phases of the design process from Marketing, Concept/Schematic Design through Design Development and preparation of Construction Documents.

* Work with a high degree of autonomy displaying design expertise and meeting the client's functional and aesthetic goals.

* Efficiently and innovatively conceptualize, develop, and finalize all interior design aspects of projects within relevant time frames and budgets.

* Ability to be team focused working on assigned tasks within a project.

* Coordinate and assist other multi-disciplined project teams.

* Use technical, organizational, and communication skills relevant to the interior design profession to lead, develop, and deliver design of interior / architectural elements.

* Use strong comprehensive and problem solving skills to listen / understand complex design problems and issues relevant to client needs and develop appropriate innovative solutions.

* Lead or participate in space planning / programming phases of projects and implement the data into final design concepts and space planning solutions.

* Use strong design development skills to develop designs of interior components including casework designs and detailing.

* Use exceptional graphic presentation skills to develop professional level graphic renderings, sketches, high quality presentation materials for own projects and for other project teams.

* Develop and manage schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction contract administration for all interior phases of projects.

* Maintain expertise in product knowledge of interior finishes and furnishings.

* Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, a client-centered focus, the ability to multi-task, a team player mentality, an outgoing personality and a strong commitment to delivering world class service.

The ideal candidate will possess:

* Bachelor of Architecture or Bachelor of Interior Design

* Minimum 8 years experience

* Required registered Interior Designer

* Solid Project Management Skills

* Knowledge of FF&E including but not limited to MEP, Voice-Data requirements, LEED qualification standards, familiarity with life safety, building, accessibility and other applicable codes and ordinances

* Proficient and working knowledge in AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Revit, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office and Outlook

* U.S. Citizenship Required
