SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER/ PROJECT MANAGER

Prominent San Francisco high-end interior design firm seeking an experienced, capable and self-starting Senior Interior Designer / Project Manager with a strong design background and exceptional project management skills to join our award-winning and growing firm.

Job Description

The Senior Designer / Project Manager will work directly with the Principal Designer on all levels of projects from schematic design through to installation and punch lists. He/she will be responsible for the organization, project management and realization of high-end residential projects with minimal oversight required. Responsibilities also include supervision of a Design Assistant. Knowledge of and a passion for all aspects of interior design is required.

Job Responsibilities:

>> Working directly with Principal on all aspects of design.

>> Generate CAD drawings, architectural drafting and hand sketches.

>> Direct and review design development, construction documents and shop drawings for content, accuracy and overall design integrity.

>> Prepare detailed budgets and presentations.

>> Source and specify materials, furniture, art and accessories.

>> Oversee purchasing from client proposals to final invoicing.

>> Manage all phases of interior projects from Programming to Installation and Punch Lists.

Qualifications:

>> Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Designer / Project Manager.

>> Degree in Interior Design or Architecture -- or extensive work experience equivalent.

>> High level of proficiency with AutoCAD.

>> Skilled in hand drafting, architectural lettering and sketching.

>> Excellent oral and written communication skills.

>> Strong problem solving skills.

>> Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with architects, subcontractors, vendors and clients.

>> Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

>> Experience with Studio Designer interior design computer program.

>> Very strong organizational and project management skills.

>> Experience with custom cabinetry and custom furniture design.

>> Ability to multi-task numerous projects and meet deliverables and deadlines.

>> Extensive knowledge of interior design from traditional to modern.

>> Interest in the history of architectural design and historical furniture periods required
