JMC Business Systems, Inc. is a well established and growing Furniture Dealership located in Springfield, VA that has served the Government and Commercial sectors of the greater Washington, DC metro area for over 20 years. We are currently looking for a Senior Lever Interior Designer to join our Design Team.

Responsibilities will include:

Work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

Attend off-site meetings with end-users and Project Management.

Plan, schedule and complete the development of projects.

Develop documents as required for Space Planning, Furniture Plans, Furniture Specifications, Timeline Requirements and Presentations.

Must be able to self-motivate and work well individually and within a team.

Serve as project point of contact for questions, comments and requests from Project Management and clients.

Be able to work on multiple projects at once and self-manage priorities.

Work directly with Director of Design.

Perform as a Team Player.

Other tasks and responsibilities will be project specific and a strong design skill set is critical to be able to develop and implement design concepts, space planning, select FF&E and development of presentation components.

Candidates for this position must have 5+ years experience in the contract furniture industry, with strong software and specification skills using AutoCAD and CAP Studio. Those with Secret or Top Secret Clearance will be given first preference.

BA in Interior Design or related degree preferred.
