Job Description:
Our client is a national retail furniture sales and design firm looking for a dynamic, experienced Design consultant for their beautiful Raleigh, NC Showroom.

Are you an experienced Interior Designer ? Do you have sales experience?

Do you have what it takes?

You will be a designer for a plush high end home furnishings and design showroom, working one on one with your walk-in and regular clients helping them select furniture pieces, bedding, window coverings and accessories.

You will have the ability to sell to your clients in the showroom or meet with them in their homes for more opportunity. Sharing your talent and expertise will increase your sales and bring customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Experience: Proven success in interior design sales or a related field including kitchen and bath design, customer focused retail sales in a fashion field, textile design and window fashions, or in-home design service. Sales experience is a must.

Other Requirements:

Excellent communication and organizational skills and attention to detail. Prior retail sales background, ability to close a sale.

Must have some experience working with clients in the showroom and in their home. Possess creative design ability, flair for color, knowledge of fashion furniture trends and styles.

Demonstrated ability in room design and color coordination. Easily design and create professional 1/4" scale space plans. The company has a great user friendly software program.

Must be able to work days, evenings and weekends. You will have two days off during the week and a shift that varies with your hours. Must have a valid drivers license with a good driving record and provide own transportation to and from customers homes. The company will pay for your mileage.

Education: Some college preferred. Completed college coursework in interior design, arts, graphics, etc. or related experience Compensation Package Base salary PLUS commission on written sales. Designers who exceed quota make substantial income.
