JOB DESCRIPTION

Disney Online is looking for a savvy Account Executive in the New York office, who will report to the Director, Ad Sales/Eastern Region. Will be responsible for sales prospecting, presenting, negotiating, closing and managing of online advertising and revenue for Disney.com and Disney's Mom and Family Portfolio of Sites, which includes DisneyFamily.com, DisneyFamilyFun.com, Kaboose, Babyzone and others. The Account Executive is expected to translate approved ad sales strategies and goals into sales programs for assigned accounts and be aware of competitive ad sales practices. Adjust presentations and selling approaches based on client or agency interests and needs. Sets objectives related to developing and maintaining solid client base. Participate in developing the sales strategies and sales plans for assigned accounts. Leads or participates in sales presentations to clients and prospective clients. Cultivate and maintain successful long-term relationships with decision-makers at agency and/or client level. Actively participates in industry and professional organizations. Communicate with Director on a regular basis in regard to established quarterly revenue goals and the efforts to increase client base.

REQUIREMENTS

4 -- 6 years media sales and/or marketing experience - must have online experience with a tier one or tier two brand

Additional ad sales experience or agency experience in offline media (print, radio, TV, cable, other) is a strong plus

Online video and branded entertainment sales experience recommended

Comprehensive knowledge of online advertising, creative units/executions and current competitive landscape

Possess a working knowledge of all online metrics, technologies and research tools used in the marketplace, such as comScore, Media Metrix, @Plan, and AdRelevance

Established online media contacts (at agency and client level) in New York marketplace (relationships with top brands, such as SC Johnson, Dow, 3M, General Mills, Kohl's, Quaker, Ford, Allstate, State Farm, Target, etc.)

Has proven track record of successfully closing and implementing effective online marketing programs

SPECIFIC SKILLS

Demonstrated presentation skills to large and small groups

Strong negotiation, time management and organizational skills

Effective sales, business development/hunting and marketing skills

Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are critical for this position
