FleursBELLA, a floral design and decor company, is seeking an Event Manager to oversee all incoming projects and manage a close-knit team of designers and production personnel.

Position Summary:

The Event Manager performs a wide range of functions to manage all special events, including annual galas, corporate events, private parties, weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, etc.. This position requires creative thinking, multi-tasking, flexibility and the ability to function with grace under pressure. Applicant must be a self-starter, with experience in managing a team, and willing to commit to irregular hours. Regular clients include Sotheby's, Brooklyn Academy of Music, various non-profits and arts organizations.

Responsibilities Include:

-Manage logistics of every event from start to finish.

-Organize and participate in client meetings for upcoming and potential events.

-Create proposals and estimates to present to clients and then manage approved budgets while working closely with clients and the design team.

-Maintain organized and detailed files for each client.

-Work closely with the Creative Director and Production Manager in conception and creation of productions.

-Work closely with Business Manager in all matters to coordinate between store and event requisites.

-Coordinate staff schedules for store and production days.

-Manage events on-site.

-Create relationships with staff, whether full-time, part-time or independent contractors, to best manage production. Create relationships with wholesale vendors in the floral industry, and others, to best manage orders as well as the quality and timely delivery for each project.

- Work closely with Business Manager to generate new business and cultivate existing client relationships for new opportunities.

Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years in event management or similar fields.

- Strong organizational and planning skills a must.

-Strong writing, analytical and computer skills; presentation design is a plus.

-Prior experience organizing large scale productions or event.

-Strong Microsoft Office skills, including managing excel sheets, and creating high-quality documents in Powerpoint, Quickbooks experience is a plus.

-Knowledge and experience in the flower industry, or at least strong interest in immersion in it.
