Independent Music Company Seeks Self-Motivated Candidate (Triangle Area)

Locally based production company is seeking an individual for an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in the entertainment business as an Intern/Assistant. Candidate will provide support to label owners in the planning and execution of all upcoming releases and ventures.

Duties include:

-Draft correspondences to business contacts including, but not limited to, memos, letters, press releases, and proposals

-Correspond with DJs, retail stores, nightclubs, websites via telephone, email and fax.

-Organize and attend meetings and conference calls.

-Carrying out background research and present findings

-Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff

-Devising and maintaining office systems, including data management, filing, etc.

-Other assignments as directed by management.

Ideal candidates should be seeking to build resume experience, and have the following skill set:

-Strong verbal and written communication skills in a business environment

- Strong computer skills a" MS Office Excel, Word, Outlook

-Detail-oriented a" ability to manage multiple projects/assignments at one time

- Self Motivated, Dependable, Organized and Team Player

- Internet Savvy - (twitter, ning, facebook, skype, google voice)

- Must be able to work under minimum supervision with a demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks

- Must have reliable transportation

-No prior music industry experience is necessary.

The internship will require 15-20 hours a week; there will be some weekend assignments and travel with the company, may be necessary.
