JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Draft, issue, record and file license agreements

Review and evaluate license agreements with Business Affairs department

Track and record licensing activity: update spreadsheets to ensure that all licenses are being executed and payments collected

Responsible for maintaining license and payment status on all outstanding licenses

Assist with various 3rd party licensing needs to be determined

Research music rights ownership

Coordinate with other departments to resolve missing information and ensure proper licensing

Assist with pitching music for licensing opportunities

Effectively communicate issues / questions to management to obtain proper course of action, judgment and/or decision.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Skills:

Must have general computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphases in Excel

Knowledge of general business practices

Posses a strong work ethic

Strong organization skills and extremely detail oriented

Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Ability to prioritize, adhere to deadlines and execute on tasks and handle multiple, diverse assignments

Ability to work well with a team

Anticipates needs and creates efficient and effective processes

Self-starter, self motivated and takes responsibility/ownership of tasks. Comfortable working in a high-paced, unstructured environment.

Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing situations

Education:

A baccalaureate degree is required.

Administrative experience within the music industry preferred.
