The Music Marketing Assistant will implement the overall social media strategy of a small record label and develop brand awareness. This role will also include marketing and distribution, press relations and administrative support.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement the social media strategy, website

Work with the developers to ensure social media tools (for ex. FB connect, Sharing buttons) are kept up to date

Manage presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, and other similar community sites, posting on relevant blogs, and seeding content into social applications as needed

Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results

Regularly report feed back and insights gained from social media

Monitor trends in social media tools, trends and applications

Organizing concert, tours and arrangements

Building distribution outlets for CDs in the US and internationally

Requirements

Must have Masters or Bachelors Degree and two years plus proven experience in social media marketing and music industry

Strong project management and organizational skills

In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Digg, Youtube, Twitter, Flicker, MySpace, etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios

Expert level written and verbal communication skills and attention to details

Knowledge of blogging ecosystem

Must know all technical programs (Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, etc)

Knowledge in organizing press kits, write ups, press FAQs

Develop marketing ideas for distribution and touring

Public relations and Marketing experience, a plus

Must be comfortable working in a small unstructured environment
