Business Manager Internship At Amazing Artistic Photography Studio (Soma / South Beach)
Dec. 4, 2011
San Francisco, CA
Confidential
We are a pioneering Bay Area photography studio and you just won the lottery by being able to intern with us as a business manager. Ready to learn more? Great.
The thing is, photography is intense creative work and while we can make women look and feel beautiful all day with our exhilarating photo shoots, we have very little time to oversee the million other aspects of running the business.
That's where YOU come in.
As the Business Manager Intern, you will be a skilled jack of all trades (aka Ninja if you prefer that fancy title) -- you will answer phone calls and emails, work with Mind Body Online, keep customers happy and excited and generally make sure that the trains run smoothly and on time. You must have attention to detail and you must love interacting with customers of all stripes with the professionalism and quality of the highest standards. You must also be willing and able to chill with the 2 cats that grace the studio and run around like they own the place (they do, actually). And it goes without saying that you must do this with aplomb and a smile on your face.
If you are a businessperson looking to manage an artistic business from the ground up or an artistic person with a bent for business -- this opportunity is cant-miss. We are one of the most respected boudoir/wedding/lifestyle photography studios in San Francisco and our work has been featured in Grace Ormand, Modern Brides, Here Comes The Guide, The Knot, Crave and Sunset Weddings. Plus we ran a ridiculously successful Groupon offer earlier this year so, ya know, brownie social media points. This ain't your grandpa's photography business and this business is fast-growing so get in on the ground floor while the getting's good.
1. This is a paid internship and without further ado, here are the other requirements:
2. Must have experience with Mind Body Online biz management software. No exceptions.
3. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Must be available for 16 hours a week, starting hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thurs, Fri 1-5pm. Your hours will increase to fulltime after the starting period if there is a mutual fit.
5. Must have prior Sales experience.
6. Must have prior Customer Service experience.
7. Must be Mac-friendly.
8. Must be willing to roll up their sleeves, do what it takes (including taking out the trash if that's what the day demands!) and be ready to BRING IT.
9. Must be awesome.
Thanks for reading and we look forward to working with you. LASTLY, if you are a photographer or looking to become one, be SURE TO NOTE SO in your application.
