Hanson Digital is currently accepting resumes for an extremely resourceful and dedicated Studio Assistant. This is a contract/freelance opportunity only, with a possible transition into a permanent position with plenty of room for growth for the right person who shows true desire and initiative.

We provide high end digital imaging, printing and reproduction services to the commercial and creative communities - see our website for a full list of services. Part of Hanson Digital is mark hanson + weddings, a growing non-traditional wedding photography business.

The ideal person will be able to handle their production responsibilities as well as provide administrative help and support. They will show true ingenuity and the ability to think outside of the box while handling their daily responsibilities and work issues.

Production duties include working with our Betterlight Digital capture system with a 4x5 camera, drum scanning, fine art digital printing with large format inkjets, laminating & mounting prints along with all aspects from the beginning of production to the final file or product delivery.

Administrative duties include phone and in-person customer service, invoicing/estimating, social media upkeep and marketing, equipment upkeep, studio support & development, organizing/cleaning the workspace/studio, running errands, Client follow ups, preparing wedding albums and other wedding related materials for our online service and Clients.

Compensation will start at $13-$15/hr depending on experience and will require between 30-40hrs per week.

Minimum Requirements:

- B/A degree preferably in Photography or related field.

- 2 years hands on working experience in a related field.

- Experience with large format cameras in a studio environment.

- Excellent abilities with Photoshop CS5 with good file management knowledge.

- Working knowledge & experience with large format inkjet printing and papers.

- Detail oriented skills are a must.

- Excellent written & verbal skills.

- Ability to multitask, prioritize workflow, and really show initiative to get the job done right.

- General business, office, and/or customer service experience preferred.

- A self starter/deadline driven person capable of accomplishing tasks with limited direct oversight and management.

- Familiarity with Mac/PC platforms in a networked environment with good troubleshooting skills is a must.

- A very strong desire to learn and an interest in becoming part of a growing small business.

- A love for what you do along with a positive attitude.

- Excellent references.

Bonus Skills:

- Previous laminating and mounting experience is a huge plus.

- Wordpress blogging abilities with great general writing skills.

- Web design experience using html/css.

- Lightroom experience.

- Any previous job experience with problem solving and/or working with your hands.
