POSITION SUMMARY
• Responsible for taking digital images and manipulating them to produce a high-quality product.
• Responsible to work successfully within a close, collaborative team environment
• Responsible in complying with all work processes and procedures to meet the desired end result.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Retouch assigned digital images to client and our studio's standards. Communicate with Digital Manager, Customer Service, Production Team to ensure compliance with standards.
• Prepare images for client delivery.
• Meet deadlines.
• Responsible to keep abreast with industry and software changes and updates. Continually develop retouching skills.
• Responsible for maintaining strong knowledge of RGB, CMYK, and Lab color modes, conversions, flesh tones and multitone files.
• Participate in peer teams to improve efficiency, quality, service and profitability. Identify and develop systems to support efficiency.
• Proactively assist in problem solving within team and across department.
• Assist other areas as needed; train team members as needed.?
REQUIREMENTS
Education/Training:
• Minimum of two year college degree; Bachelor’s degree in related field a plus
• Minimum of three years in color correction, retouching and all areas of digital imaging production
• Minimum of two years in prepress production environment is a plus?
Qualifications:
• Expert working knowledge of Photoshop, Layers/Sets, masks, paths, color correction tools, actions, batch processing. Knowledge of color theory.
• Strong working knowledge of Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Bridge
• Strong knowledge of Macintosh based equipment within a network environment
• Strong written and oral communication skills to interact on a professional level
• Strong teamwork skills
• Working knowledge of office software such as Word, Excel, Filemaker Pro, FTP.
• Ability to make sound decisions with limited information; ability to work independently in a team environment
• Background in agency and/or high profile account is a plus
• Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule
