INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Apostrophe, an award-winning, boutique photography agency with offices in New York and San Francisco, is seeking a part-time intern for our small New York office. Intern will help in the day-to-day operations of the company and gain first hand knowledge of how photographers are marketed and booked for both editorial and advertising jobs.

A successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented and eager to learn the photo production/ promotion business, as well as happily pitch in wherever needed. With a positive attitude, our intern must thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel in completing multiple projects and deadlines at once. They must also work comfortably with our NYC team of three and on tasks alone, with direction.

Responsibilities:

-Portfolios: Sending, tracking, returning, maintaining and editing

-Artist PDFs: Creating, editing and sending to photographers and clients

-Administrative: Ordering supplies, running errands, performing basic admin/ reception duties

-Promotions: Editing & preparing image strips, mailers and review packets, as well as updating

website & Facebook

-Additional: Interacting with photographers, clients and other industry professionals

Requirements:

-Enrollment as a full or part-time student in a photography-based academic program

-Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign & Bridge on MAC platform

-Good writing skills & phone manner

-Previous experience in an office or studio setting (internship is acceptable)

-Positive attitude & sense of humor

Compensation:

-Daily stipend, 2-3 days a week
