Opportunity:

NabeWise is an innovative, user-generated, digital media start-up with a totally original take on the hyperlocal space. We are looking for an enthusiastic intern to help us build out content and marketing for our site.

Your focus will be photographing, researching and writing about neighborhoods in Washington DC. As such, you should be a curious and exploratory person who has lived in Washington DC for at least 2 years. You must own a digital camera and car. For any excellent writers, there will be an opportunity to write for our blog.

Desired Skills/Knowledge:

-Local knowledge of Washington DC

-photography skills

- Expert web surfer and researcher

- Active on social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, blogging, YouTube, etc.)

- Must be a good writer--able to summarize and synthesize research findings

- Knowledge and passion for local culture desired

-interest in maps and urban planning a plus

-Real estate experience or digital media experience a major plus as well

We are looking for this kind of person:

- Able to manage multiple priorities

- Have excellent people skills

- Be a great tele-communicator (NabeWise is based in NYC, so you will be working remotely)

- Be responsive and able to communicate around and meet deadlines

- Be a creative problem solver

- Have a positive, can-do attitude

- No ego issues
