Splashlight is a rapidly growing, high-end photography services company. We offer production, equipment, studio, and digital capture services in exciting SoHo. Our firm is seeking a focused and outgoing Full Time Digital Capture Technician reporting to the Digital Capture Manager.
Photography Digital Capture Technician
The right candidate must demonstrate a proven ability to: work under pressure and to exacting standards and deadlines; work closely with others and be a part of a team experience; and convey technical information clearly to clients and co-workers.
Responsibilities include:
Providing a smooth transition for the client
Proper file naming and organization
Addressing and repairing technical issues
Set up and calibrate digital equipment
Monitoring of image capture process ensuring that all images are captured properly
Communicate with the post and production departments to facilitate client requests
Deliver files to web and client servers
Raw Conversion to deliverable formats
Onset printing
Qualifications for Position:
Must have a minimum of 3 years digital technician experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Solid understanding of Phase One Capture One 6
Prior experience working with photographers on professional photography shoots (including lighting equipment)
Experience with various cameras, major digital backs, and capture software
Proficiency with Macintosh systems 10.5 or greater
Basic networking and IT experience
Flexibility to travel and be on set for duration of photo shoots
Experience in raw file types and color management workflow
Knowledge of data backup principles
Hassleblad H Systems, Mamiya Cameras, 645DF, Canon DSLR
Other helpful software: Leaf Capture, Canon Digital Photo Professional, Adobe, Lightroom,
Educational Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Photography
