Description
We are offering an ideal position for someone interested in learning how to start & run a successful photography business. Although this is to be an unpaid position, the intern will have a rare opportunity to work “behind-the-scenes” while gaining valuable experience, ideal for college applications and job resumes. The intern will also work solely with the owner/lead photographer and receive photography critique & advice, as desired.
Duties Include
This 3-month internship involves working with the owner/lead photographer on various projects such as: social media marketing, print & product order fulfillment, email newsletter campaigns, album design & assembly, magazine submissions, photo editing & other tasks as needed. At the end of the commitment, the intern will have the opportunity to tag along with the lead photographer & her assistant to at least one wedding if desired.
Requirements/Qualifications
• Candidate must have working knowledge of social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube as well as familiarity with blogs, their comments & RSS feeds.
• Candidate must have exceptional writing ability…including command of correct spelling, grammar & creative thinking.
• Candidate must be able to commit to a 3-month internship for a minimum of 8 hours/week. Hours are flexible, and candidate will be able to complete some work from home.
• Candidate must have access to a computer & the Internet while not working in our offices.
• Candidate must be driven, highly-organized, independent, creative, and punctual.
• Photography and photo editing experience are preferred but not required.
