Position Summary:
The Photography Products Manager is a subject matter expert who will use their knowledge of and passion for photography to assist with internal product development and external customer service. Internally you will coordinate product improvement efforts for GigaPan hardware and stitching software, working with management, engineering, customer service and software teams to roll out enhancements and accessories desired by the market. Externally, you will be a photography resource for customers and key partners, advising on best practices with GigaPan hardware and stitching software, resolving customer issues and driving high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate the product team's development of new features for hardware and stitching software based on market interests
Advise corporate account holders and professional photographers on best practices with GigaPan equipment
Resolve escalated customer service cases dealing with photography techniques
Work closely with the marketing and web team to create accurate training materials and photography related copy for web pages
Provide regular reports to management on the state of the photography market and GigaPan product enhancements.
Conduct ongoing research to identify and define new photography hardware developments or product opportunities, and regularly report your results to management and staff.
Support sales and marketing goals and activities including trade shows, product launches, and outreach.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Deep experience with and understanding of photography. You own a DSLR with multiple lenses, have created multi-image panoramas, and use photo editing or stitching software.
3 years proven success in project management.
2 years experience providing customer service or training for a technical product (software, imaging equipment, consumer electronics).
Well organized, detail oriented, strong time management and multi-tasking skills
Willing to travel (<10% expected)
Excellent interpersonal and team skills
Positive can-do attitude
Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience working in a young company
