Manhattan based photographer specializing in commercial, lifestyle and fashion photography seeking part time studio manager. Potential candidate must be self motivated, highly organized, strong communicator, and have knowledge of mac platforms, excel, photoshop and illustrator. Background in photography, sales and knowledge of adbase a plus. This job is perfect for a student looking for experience in artist management with an interest in photography and the advertising and fashion industry.
Responsibilities will include:
-Managing potential clients
-Developing contact databases (adbase, excell)
-Composing emails and making phone calls to potential clients
-Acting as liaison between photographer and clients
-Handling client bookings, incl. sending proposals, managing contacts, sending out books, setting up meetings, follow up, etc.
-Administrative duties incl. preparing invoices, billing, filing, light book-keeping, managing calendar, maintaining and organizing office and office records, managing and archiving jobs
-Handling incoming mail and email, packing and shipping
-Lab duties incl. printing books, making contact sheets, an eye for photo editing
-Occasional light editing in photoshop
-Photo shoot production, incl. hiring assistants and subcontractors, ordering equipment, returns, and managing billing and payroll
Qualifications
-Knowledge of Mac platform
-Understanding of Excel, photoshop and illustrator
-Excellent communication over the phone (Experience in cold sales calls)
-Excellent PR skills
-Administrative experience a plus
-Knowledge of Adbase a plus
-Personable, enthusiastic, organized, excellent correspondence skills
-Self motivated, highly organized
