Photography Technician
Job Description:
Check in and out photo darkroom, studio, and location equipment to students and faculty.
Maintain and monitor cameras, printers, computers, digital/traditional darkrooms, classrooms, studios, and lighting equipment.
Providing support and assistance to the Department Directors, Manager, Supervisors and Leads
Maintaining a weekly color calibration schedule of all monitors in the digital darkrooms, inventory of equipment and supplies
Mixing B&W photo chemicals.
Assisting with equipment demonstrations for students and faculty.
Requirements:
Must be proficient with Adobe PhotoShop CS, Mac OSX and Windows PC.
Ideal candidate will be articulate, attentive and takes initiative.
Must be flexible and skilled in working with diverse groups of people.
Must have previous customer service experience.
Must be able to multitask and stay organized
Must have a Degree or experienced background in photography
Experience with ink jet printers and color management a plus.
Experience with Macintosh networked environment a plus.
Must be able to lift approximately 25lbs
Hourly Rate: $13.00/hr
Must be willing to work weekends, early morning and/or late night hours.
This is a part-time position, up to 40 hours/week and 37 weeks/yr(work is available 15 weeks in fall, 15 weeks in spring, and 7 weeks in summer).
This position includes the following benefits: one tuition free undergraduate class per semester, paid sick leave accrual, a limited health insurance plan, and a 401K plan after one year of service (pending completion of the required minimum hours of work)
