We're looking for passionate and experienced SEO professional to manage our growing SEO needs. This job includes two major roles: improving the search performance of Photocrati (www.photocrati.com) and our network of other sites; and building our Photographer's SEO Community (www.photographers-seo.com).

SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE

*Improving on-site optimization for Photocrati, the Photographer's SEO Community and half a dozen other sites in our network.

*Building quality links to Photocrati, the Photographer's SEO Community and half a dozen other sites in our network. As an SEO professional, you recognize that building quality links means establishing relationships with other website owners, writing guests post, and otherwise being engaged in the community.

*Managing the Photographer's SEO Community. This role includes managing and improving content on the site, writing SEO-focused blog posts, updating our SEO ebooks and videos as appropriate, adding addition useful resources that help our members meet their SEO goals, moderating our SEO forum, actively engaging with members, keeping in touch with members via monthly newsletters on SEO developments, and building a strong sense of community. We are basically looking for someone who's excited about helping to build a powerful and valued SEO Community.

You'll be joining a highly motivated and cooperative team, relying on the abilities of all its members to improve our business performance. You won't be working in isolation, but with the support of the rest of the Photocrati team.

REQUIREMENTS: KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Applicants should meet the following core criteria:

*Demonstrated knowledge and experience in search engine optimization. You should be able to show us a track record of successful SEO work -- sites you've worked on that rank well and have strong link profiles. You should be intimately familiar with important trends in SEO, important aspects of page optimization, legitimate link building strategies and link baiting. You should also be familiar with SEO practices to avoid.

*EXCELLENT blogging and writing skills. You'll have a proven ability to write engaging blog posts that attract readers, comments, and buzz. This is necessary to write compelling, linkable content on our own sites, but also to write compelling guest posts on other relevant, high profile websites.

*Proven skill and passion for social media venues and an understanding of how social signals affect SEO performance

*Proven knowledge of and experience with WordPress. All our sites are based on WordPress, and our main product is a WordPress theme, so you should be very familiar with WordPress as a platform.

*Knowledge and experience in photography. Since all our products serve photographers, it will be hard for you to relate to our customer base and members, write relevant blog posts, write guests posts, or engage in the community if you are not intimately familiar with photography. Ideally, we'd love someone who either a fanatical photo enthusiast or a past professional or semi-professional photographer.

*A willingness to be intimately familiar with and passionate about our product lines at Photocrati and the Photographer's SEO Community.

POSITION DETAILS

Hours. Work from home (or wherever you like) with highly flexible hours. But we do need people who can work substantial block during normal US business hours, M-F.

Full time, long term. We are looking for someone who wants regular, full time, long term work. As with all our hires, you'll be hired initially as a contractor. If you like us and we like you, we'll move toward regular full time arrangements after about three months. We want someone who

WANTS to work with a smaller company, and is willing to become a very long term part of the team and help build the company.

Compensation: Competitive and open to negotiation based on experience. We also offer an open or unlimited vacation policy - we don't track hours and you take time whenever you need or want it as long as you perform in your responsibilities. If you are a US citizen, once we move someone to full time, we'll also provide health benefits. If you are in another country, we'll help offset health insurance costs.
