Short-Term Photography / Photo Editing / Creative Position (West Loop, Chicago)

Looking for someone to help a software company launch a new product and website.

Immediate needs are:

Taking photos of lots of small items (< 1 inch). Editing / Cropping photos and organizing neatly into PDF for download on web

Other related creative projects are likely to arise and so this may turn into a longer term part-time position

Skills required:

Someone with a background in photography and some photo editing. You can be in or out of school. Degree in photography or arts/creative not required. However you will be expected to know the appropriate ways to take photos using the right lighting, specs, etc; and to make these photos conform to each other possibly using selection and rotation methods, lighting effects, touch ups, etc.

Experience using Photoshop, GIMP, Illustrator, PDF, other software helpful

Any creative/design or good presentation skills will come in handy and may open the door to other work

You can use your own camera or mine.

This is a contact position at $12-15/hour based on experience. Initial work may last a few weeks. Extensions will be based on your fit to and enjoyment of the position. This position will be paid on a 1099 basis. Location is West-Loop, very close to Union Station. Work done on site.
